“ Stopped in on a Sunday at around 6pm and it wasn't too busy. They have a nice outdoor area where they open up the back wall. They had two fire pits going which added some nice warmth as it was a cool summer evening. For appetizers tried the curly fries and cole slaw. Curly fries had a nice crispy exterior and starchy interior. Served with a honey mustard sauce.Cole slaw very creamy and sweet with a little crunch. Cabbage was shredded thinner which was nice. The chicken here is the star. The sauces themselves were ok but the chicken was super juicy and moist. Though the chicken had good amount of sauce, the breading was still super crunchy and was not soggy at all. Terriyaki didn't taste much like terriyaki and more of soy with a little sweetness. Chili sauce had a nice little sweetness to it but not much heat. The soy garlic sauce mainly tasted like soy with not much garlic. The sauces were not bad, just nothing memorable. The chicken was the star and I could eat it everyday. ”

The passion I have for this place is unmatched, and it seems to cast a spell on my friends too - just ask Josy, who's been raving about it, saying, 'I am going to have dreams of this food'. And let's not forget the adorable robots that add a unique charm. The service is top-notch as well, with servers who are prompt, courteous, and efficient. “ We put in our name at another restaurant in this strip mall and they never texted us. So we walked over to CM Chicken & Boba. They asked if we were here for the event and I wondered, Yelp is having an event here? No, actually it was K Pop night. They asked us if we wanted to sit outside but we opted to eat inside. I think they wanted it clear for their event. I tried to covertly take a picture of the guest of honor but pics came out blurry (no pics then it didn't happen). Anyway, on to the food. We ordered popcorn shrimp, it was super hot and crisp. We also had chicken wings with deli sauce (teriyaki) which was also super hot and crisp. I think I would have preferred the garlic soy or honey garlic sauce instead. We also had bulgogi rice, which came with a fried egg on top. There was not much bulgogi in the dish although we did like the flavor. Also we supplemented our meal with coleslaw and the (complimentary) pickled radish. Our food was good, it's helpful to have the call server button at your table which we used several times. Everyone was nice although they seemed distracted and excited for the event that was going to happen. Lots of people were coming in for the event so we skipped dessert because we were probably the oldest people there. Have fun at your event! ”

“ I love this restaurant! This is where beer market used to be. The food is unbelievable delicious Every. Single. Time. Since my last visit, they added an ice cream cooler & new decor/signs. There is a DJ booth so music is loud and lights are distracting, I wouldn't recommend going here if you want to have a serious talk. lol. There is outdoor seating with bonfires in the winter the seating is closed but they still have beautiful lights put up. Staff is okay. When they first opened, they remembered me on my second visit and always made good food suggestions. ”

“ Only stopped by for the boba drinks as we were in between meals. First time here but I always seem to pass by several times a month. It was about 4pm on Christmas day. The chicken smelled fantastic and the space is really cool for checking out a game on TV. But it was definitely not busy when we dropped by. Just wanted to get some boba as a snack, so we ordered a few drinks. Was tempted for the melona smoothie (I love melona everything but think it's too sweet for myself). Kids just wanted brown sugar boba so that's what they got. I got a matcha green tea. Hit the spot, and the pricing was pretty decent as well. I've got to stop by for the chicken next time. Plenty of parking in the plaza. ”

“ Oh my goodness, this place is so good. Every Choong Man Chicken is so good. It's honestly probably the best Korean fried chicken I've ever had. Even better than the chicken I had in Korea. The chicken is SO juicy. My go-to is snow onion chicken. The tikku chicken flavors are good too, but those are slightly more expensive. I have found that the snow onion is just as good. Even the normally dry chicken breast is so freaking juicy. The galbi chicken is a little too salty for my tastes. Also, the taste of galbi marinade on chicken doesn't seem right. I like the lighter sauce of the snow chicken. Ambiance and service are both really good. Servers are really nice, the place is well-decorated. They have a cool robotic waiter that brings out the food to you. ”

“ While there are many CM chicken locations around Chicagoland, this restaurant in Vernon Hills is probably my favorite for many reasons. The parking is super easy, the dining room is enormous and augmented by a large dining area with fountain outside, prices are super reasonable for the amount and quality of food you're getting, the decor is cute and fun, the robot is a nice addition for a more premium experience, the restrooms are maintained nicely, the menu is huge, etc. Unlike other locations in smaller spaces or in the mall, this is really a spot that's casual, enormous, and comfortable with plenty of options to satisfy everyone's cravings. As usual, the food shines here especially with their super delicious bone-in cripsy chicken options (cheese, galbi, and garlic soy top it for me!). It's also worth it to try their nice and chewy tteok-bokki and though I haven't had it at this location, their Korean pancake is awesome as well. The drink options here are also very well priced and they offer a dazzling array of options from milk teas to fruit teas to yogurt teas and more. They are presented nicely and great for posting on social media. Overall, definitely worth it if you're craving Korean fried chicken, Korean food, or bubble tea. It's a comfortable spot to enjoy a delicious meal at a great price. ”
